CELEBRATING THE TITLE
2019 was Miko Marczyk’s second year in R5 car in Polish Rally Championship. It was also second year of our cooperation. Both 2018 and 2019 liveries for Skoda Polska Motorsport were inspired by factory Skoda Motorsport colors. And both of them were really good looking. But what’s more important, in 2019 managed to win Polish Rally Champion title! At age 24! What an achievement! At the end of the year was time for celebration. And there was no better way for us to celebrate than preparing special livery for Barbórka Rally. We were inspired by Skoda Motorsport gold livery done for Jan Kopecky.
Our design was based on gold chrome wrap, “1” shape and laurel leaf. Pure “champion style”! Some black accents were used to make old-ish Fabia R5 look a little bit more like new EVO version which was about to enter rally stages around the world.
And this golden car with golden boy behind the wheel was a perfect combination that day. Car looked outstanding, Miko won 2 special stages and came 3rd in overall classification. Just behind Kajetan Kajetanowicz in Fiesta WRC and Jarri Huttunen. What’s more on last stage of the day: iconic Karowa Stage, Miko got 2nd position just 0,7s behind Kajto’s monster: Fiesta WRC2017.
It was great way to end another year of great cooperation. We continued our journey in 2020 and prepared for Miko another great livery, this time for ERC starts in Orlen Team.
